Maintaining The Ohel
Visitors to the tomb arrive thirsty and tired. They need candles to light, food and drink to revive them from the dry heat, and a cool, safe place where they can pray for salvation from Above in the merit of Reb Meir. They find it all here – because donors like you maintain the Kever of Reb Meir for one million visitors every year.
Visitors to the tomb encounter another sight as well – an active daily Kollel of elite scholars studying Torah. This unique group began more than 100 years ago. Since then, Torah has never ceased from the grave of the Tanna who risked his life to revive it. Deeply engaged in study and prayer, members of the Kollel draw upon the miracles of Reb Meir Baal Haness to beg for salvation on behalf of Jews around the world. Together, we can sustain them.
